Look Ahead supports around 8 000 people across London and the South East each year. People who for a variety of reasons may need some extra support to achieve their goals realise their dreams and live independently. The brief was to create a very flexible space that reflects the organisations values and to encourage collaboration between team members. It was important that the office environment was one that supported the organisation’s overall mission. The mission was communicated in different spaces; the reception where the colour changing feature wall with the corporate values engraved is the first thing that welcomes you to Look Ahead’s new office. The “People concept” emerged and is resembled in two main elements; Diversity (people from different backgrounds and origins) and Partnership (staff and customers working together for a better future)
These two elements have been translated and communicated within the design through colours (floor plates had 4 different colour zones) and graphics (where hundreds of dots work together to give a bigger image of London).The office design is one that values staff.
